There is a big possibility that the unit has an internal failure, and it needs to be replaced. First of all, you need to reset the radio to ask you for its code . Disconnect both battery terminasl for some 30 seconds and reconnect the. If after doing this, the radio asks for a CODE, then you need the code now, but if the radio keeps displaying ERROR E the radio is bad.( the radio will never give you any code to unlock it for that purpose you must go to your nearest Honda dealer as they are authorized to retrieved it online from factory)

I am not entirely sure what that code means and I cannot find out anything useful on the internet but my best guess is that it is the stereo anti theft feature. Try entering in the code that is somewhere in your owners manual or related papers. If that is not it then error e may mean the same thing as it used to which is that a cd is stuck in the drive. I am not sure but the anti theft code is worth a try.

disconnect the battey cables and touch them together for ten seconds. reconnect them. turn key to accessory or on. make sure radio is off. press and hold radio presets one and six. continue holding and turn on radio. it will display the serial number in two parts. for example "u1234" and "l4321". drop the u and l and you have the serial number. call the dealer with the number and they can look up the five digit code. you may have to prove ownership of the car though.

Contrary to the previous poster, It doesn't matter if it is a coupe, sedan or what trim level it is. All Honda Accords are front wheel drive. All of them.
