Before buying my civic I was going to buy the ford focus so that I could lower it, get some decent rims, put in a decent sound system etc etc.
Well I went with a Honda civic coupe 2009 and it pretty basic. Rims are made out of plastic, cd player is mounted in the dashboard so all of that is out the window. I was thinking tinting the windows and getting good rims but does anyone have any ideas that won't cost me an arm and a leg?
Thanks in advance =)

You can make the civic coupes look pretty cool.Definitely get new rims go with 17's.Id tint the windows aswell. Nothing too dark. You could also get a spoiler for it aswell.I would get a honda factory one(u know the one the comes on the civic si)little expensive but it looks clean and pretty cool. ps the honda civic is much cooler to work on over a focus.Have fun with it.

I would work on those wheels first. The wheel/tire combo can really change the feel and handling of a car.

Look for someone that had a nicer wheel option on their civic but wanted to drop a lot of cash on something fancy. You can scoop up their stock rims at a low price. You might even find someone with an Si or something. By using stock rims, you ensure that you will not get any rubbing or inaccuracy with your speedometer and odometer.

Other than the normal public bartering sites, you might check your local car forums. Since it is a Honda, it shouldn't be hard to find one. Each should have a section for selling and sometimes one for WTB (want to buy).

Good luck and enjoy the new car.

better than a focus so congrats lol rims change the overall look of the car. if you pour money into anything its probably the best. otherwise get the kit the mugen (i mite have spelled it wrong) civic has. especially the spoiler and dont go too dark with the tint. stripes may work, but get vinyl cuz painting costs alot. custom ambient lighting, aftermarket halo headlights, aftermarket taillights, etc. car customizing is endless

Get an oem cat back exhaust, I truthfully have a primary with a 4" tip and it doesnt sound like a ricer in any respect. Throw a cherry bomb on it. New chilly air intake. Rims, low profile tires. Get lowering springs, like 2 to 2.5 inches decrease, you may get coilovers for it instead of springs however the holiday is somewhat tough and that they arent sturdy to your suspension. front sway bar, rear subframe brace, strut tower. the possibility is infinite.

-wheels/tires

-tint

-lower

-bumper lips

-spoiler (do not use the motto "bigger is better")

do some performance too...

-exhaust

-intake

usually enough for newer civics..unless your crazy. then theres a whole slew of things u can do.
