I am considering buying a used car within a couple of days.
I wanted to know from 2009 honda fit owners how it drives on the highway.
Is it stable and good on the highway at speeds between 55mph-80mph?
Does it have good road grip?
I tested one out the other day in a neighborhood and it seems the engine is kinda loud when u accelerate it. is it annoying or it just takes time to get use to?
I had a 2004 nissan sentra before so I am just making sure if this car is for me or not.
I loved the interior on the fit though, i kinda liked it better than the 2007 honda civic i checked out.

Please only 2009 honda fit owners!!! thanks

Note that I'm answering questions from my perspective as Sport Trim owner.

"Is it stable and good on the highway at speeds between 55mph-80mph?"

Yes. As a lighter-weight car, you can sometimes feel a little "push" if it's windy at those speeds, but it's never particularly bad. The center of gravity is very low, so you maintain really good control.

Also, my experience on the highway nets me ~32 mpg, depending on time of year, road conditions, and traffic.

"Does it have good road grip?"

Yes. Again, the low center of gravity is a big help.

"it seems the engine is kinda loud when u accelerate it. is it annoying or it just takes time to get use to?"

My only complaint about the fit is that it sometimes doesn't like the initial acceleration when getting up to speed, especially if you're trying to accelerate up a hill. But, usually it isn't particularly loud, in my experience.

And yes, the interior is awesome. It makes the car feel much, much bigger than it really is, and you have a lot more storage space than you'd initially think. They did a really great job on that point!

2010 Fit Sport owner here. Once you get up to highway speeds it travels beautifully. Personally, the Honda Fit vrrrrooom (as my sister would call it growing up) is a little lacking. It's a bit slow and loud to accelerate, but it goes away as soon as you start cruising. I don't drive highway speeds often, so I'm just fine with this.

Fits are great cars. I've had mine for two years and I still love it as much as I did when I first brought it home.

we've one and its super. yet remember you're becoming to be it because is a super commuter. it is thru no potential a speedy motor vehicle. we get 27mpg genuine artwork, combination of highway and city (many times city). the sport equipment is a could desire to. it provides the physique equipment which makes the motor vehicle seem much less like a mini minivan. it is extremely roomy interior for the way small it it is. roomy in head room no longer in shoulder room (the motor vehicle is extremely narrow).
