I'm having a problem with my power windows in my 2004 Honda civic.

None of my windows are working! I have tried the fuse box underneath the steering wheel and fuse number 6 (power window relay 7.5amp) keeps blowing.

Is this a problem with the relay or possibly a shorted wire? If it is the relay, what fuse box is it in as I cant see the location in my manual

Thanks

if it keeps blowing the fuse there is a short. it could be shorting in one of the switches or the relay or possibly one of the motors. does it trip the fuse when you try any wikndow or a certain one. if it trips no matter which one you try its most likely a relay problem. if only does it ona certain one its either that switch or that windows motor. it is unlikely it is a short in a wire but anythings possible

A shorted to ground by a defected motor or check into the wiring harness that goes to the door jam and the door, just open up the protector loom and look for broken wires that may touch each other and blown the fuse. A defected window control module may be the cause also as I have seen in the past when repairing some vehicle power window system. HTH

If the owners manual list the fuse location it will also list the relay location you just need to look for it.
