We have the code for the radio, but how long will it take the "error e" message to go away so we can enter the code in?

10 minutes once the battery has been disconnect and then reconnected and then the correct code has been entered into the radio..

I pulled the back up fuse on my CRV for about 15 seconds and then put it back in (it was in the fuse box under the hood and easy to get to). The error E went away and it just said CODE. Then I entered the code and radio was back.

Disconnect the battery and wait a few minutes. When you reattach the cable, the error message will be cleared for you to punch in the code.

Just leave it SWITCHED ON ...UNDISTURBED for as long as it takes to automatically reset itself.

The waiting time depends on how many wrong codes were entered previously so can take 24 hours or longer.

Normally it is only an hour or two
