Hey guys I recently bought the bike and have been riding it for a little while but just seems like it is sluggish or not putting out as much power as it should be. The bike starts right up no problem but seems really slow through the gears if you were to give it some gas. The bike also seems to be topping out at around 55 or 60 mph. Anyone know what could be causing the performance problem?

Do a standard tune up.

Coil, plugs, wires, air filter, gas filter. Check timing as well.

I'd put new gas in the tank as well. Might have been sitting for a while before you bought it.

It's the fuel system. Check for obstructions in the fuel line and replace the fuel filter. You might also want to clean out the carburetor.
