Fixing to add freon to my g/fs semi-working a/c. Slowly it's starting to get less and less cool. I assume it's about time to recharge it.

She drives a 96 honda accord. Which do I plug it up to? The high or the low pressure plug?

And the high pressure plug is always closest to the firewall correct? Lowest pressure is more towards the front of the car, right?

Additional details are more than welcome guys...

As always, I rate all good answers with thumbs up...

If you buy the R134A with the charging kit, the fitting will only go onto the low side port. Always charge from the low side with the can upright, engine running with AC on max.

Do you know what you are doing?

If you connect on the high pressure side the juice from your car will go into your tank, this is how the Freon id captured for recycling.

If you want to add to you cal, you inject in the low pressure port.

Most modern automobiles have different connectors to avoid mixing as it can be quite dangerous in the event of an explosion.

How are you going to know how much to add?

If you have no instruments I suggest to do that on a very hot day when the AC is no longer working, add a bit at a time just until the system works.

Adding more will not make-it cooler!

Adding too much could damage some components and cause injury.

On the compressor, the hot pipe is the high pressure side

The cooler pipe is the low pressure side.

Hope this properly answers your question
